Outwit the AI

Write a clue for your secret word that your friends will get but the AI won't. Score when they match it and the AI misses. A word game for 3–10 players.

How to play

Each round opens a themed board of words, such as Breakfast or Superheroes. Every player secretly gets a different word from the board, and the remaining words are decoys. You write one short clue for your word, without saying the word or giving it away directly.

Then everyone matches the others’ clues to words on the board, while the AI does the same at the same moment, seeing only the board and the clues. The trick is to write clues your friends will understand and the AI won’t: shared memories and inside jokes help.

The clues are revealed one by one, with your friends’ picks, the AI’s pick and its cocky reason. Each friend who matches a clue scores 1 point. The clue’s author scores 2 for every friend who got it, but only if the AI missed; if nobody gets the clue, the author loses a point. The AI doesn’t play for points, so the highest score among the players wins.
